On Sundays we hold a One Day Introduction to Studio Photography Workshop at our studio.

If you’ve always been intrigued by how studio lighting works but thought it was just something for “professionals” or felt intimidated that you don’t know enough technical photography “speak”, then this class is going to be perfect for you. The classes are designed to remove the fear and mystery and be a very practical and straight talking introduction to lighting in the studio. All you need is your own Digital SLR camera and to be genuinely enthusiastic about taking better pictures. As long as you have this you will be amazed at how easy and fun studio photography can be. At the end of the day you will have learned the basics of studio photography as well as gained some great pictures to get your portfolio started.

The class will take place at our studio in south east London. Only places for 2 people per class, creating a very effective learning environment for each person, making the experience far more enjoyable and highly personalised.

Part 1 will be an introduction to the studio, lighting equipment and setting up your camera. We will begin with a set of photo samples and then learn how to recreate the images using a basic 2 head lighting setup.

Break for light lunch and refreshments (included)

Part 2 will involve more creatively composed images using a 3 head lighting setup.

Photography styles we will cover include headshots, portraits, fashion, commercial, glamour and lingerie. The class includes an experienced model for the day, professional make up artist and of course a tutor. Tea, coffee, water and light refreshments all included.

Bookings for Sunday 27 March now being taken. Time, 10am – 5pm. .

Cost per person, £125.
